Karen Gabalez Madarcos

Project Development Officer/Project Assistant

Western Philippines University (WPU) and Southern Tagalog Islands Research and Development Consortium (STIRDC)

Karen has a background in Public Administration, Governance and Project Management. In 2011 to 2015, she served as senior facilitator and team leader of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Governance Programs with United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Latter Day Saints-Charities (LDSC) and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) that works with Local to Regional Government Units in several regions and provinces within the Philippines that institutionalizes good governance in the project implementation process. She capacitates community, local government planners and policy makers in identifying public issues through research; logical planning; proposal making, fund sourcing and sustainable program implementation. She also has an experience working with the Research, Development and Extension (RDE) activities of State Universities and Colleges within the MIMAROPA Region through a Research and Development Consortium.
